Crystal Lake Union Cemetery Association

The Crystal Lake Cemetery Association was formally chartered in 1912. The Association is guided by a seven member Board of Trustees. These Trustees devote a great deal of their time, talent and expertise as their civic duty and privilege. the Board's goal is to provide the best possible service to the Crystal Lake community with an eye to the future. The Crystal Lake Cemetery Association oversees 3 cemeteries in McHenry County. In the early 1970's the Association assumed responsibility for Mt Thabor cemetery. It is located on Route 176 about 4 miles west of the city. the cemetery was established in the mid 1880's. Although it is no longer in use, it is still maintained by the Association.
